The meaning of Aiden's full name

I know everyone is wondering how we came up with Aiden's full name. In the Jewish religion it is a tradition to name your child's english and hebrew name after someone you love, who has passed away. Aiden's hebrew name is Marnin. This name is very special to us because he is named after our good friend Lauren Berk. Her hebrew name was Marian. Marnin is the masculine version of Marian, which means "joy." Berk was a very close friend who left us far to early but will never be forgotten. She was one of the most genuine, fun and loyal friends we have ever known. It is an honor for us to name our child after someone so amazing.

Aiden's middle name is Samuel, after my grandfather Sam Rosch who passed away a couple years ago. He was a very courageous and loving man and we only wish he could have met Aiden. My grandpa Sam was a very good athlete and a sports fanatic. I believe this is where the athletic genes came from in the family. If Aiden takes after grandpa, we will be spending lots of time on the baseball diamond and football field in the years to come.

As for his first name, this isn't quite as meaningful as the rest of his name. Michelle works in education and had to pick a name that she did not connect with the bad kids. Over the years she has accumulated a decent list of trouble makers, thus making this a difficult task. Michelle fell in love with the name Aiden and convinced me his name had to be Aiden. Michelle has a funny way of getting what she wants. For example, engraving or monogramming his name on things prior to us agreeing on his name. I will admit at first I was not excited about the name, but I grew to love it!

Everything here is going well. We hope you enjoy our latest pictures...

I think Aiden just pooped his pants.

The routine is eat, diaper change, and sleep

Sleeping on momma. Two tired soldiers...
